 Clean-living fire - The domestic stove has finally managed to quit smoking 15 November 1997  By Michelle Knott THERE may be no smoke without fire, but now fire without smoke is a real option, thanks to a solid-fuel stove developed by British researchers. The stove can burn wood, peat and coal while producing a similar amount of smoke to expensive “smokeless” fuels.
